Tanisha was inspired to start Get Covered With Tanisha, especially with her inclusive approach to life insurance, after losing her mother at the age of 14 unexpectedly. Her stepfather had to pay out of pocket via payment arrangements for the funeral and burial, and was indebted to the funeral home for so many years. She doesn't want anyone else to experience that burden.

One client had been turned down by so many different insurance carriers due to his health conditions. When Tanisha was able to get him covered, he was in tears thanking her. He can be gone any day now and now he has the comfort of knowing there will be no financial burden on his loved ones should he pass away. All her clients are considered family to her.
